Welcome home!

Dear guest,

Welcome to your home away from home! I am glad you chose the loft for your stay in Barcelona.

To help you make the most of your time here, I have prepared a digital guidebook that provides useful information about the apartment, nearby attractions and my personal recommendations. Feel free to explore the guide and let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like to know or if you need assistance with anything. I want to encourage you to meet the most authentic places in the city, those recommended by locals.

Once again, thank you for choosing my apartment. I hope you create beautiful memories during your stay and have a wonderful time exploring the city.

Warm regards,

Your host, Guillermo.

Check In / Out

The official check-in time is at 17 pm. We use to clean the apartment for our guests between 11am and 17pm.

Please, follow the instructions for the auto check-in, they are pretty easy to follow. Check in whenever you want with no stress.

  1. Send me a WhatsApp to +34 649 901 202phone_enabled the day before to let me know your arrival time.

  2. Go to Needle Supermarket (30 meters far from the apartment) and ask for what I have left in your name (a black bag with a padlock inside). The supermarket is 24-hours open.

  3. Once you get the padlock, enter the code I have already sent to you through WhatsApp (about 1 hour before your arrival time). You will find the apartment keys and the parking remote control inside.

  4. Proceed to reach the apartment address and use the keys to enter.

Please, send me one complete name and passport number using the Airbnb chat. It’s for tourist tax compliance.

The official check-out time it’s at 11 am.

You just have to inform me when you plan to leave the apartment. Please, do it the sooner the better, so I can manage the cleaning lady to come right after.

Throw the garbage away in the containers in front of Hotel4 in the main square. Leave everything as clean and tidy as you can for the cleaning lady. There is no need to clean towels and blankets.

Shut the aircon, leave the keys inside (on the kitchen table) and then you can leave the apartment.

Ask me if you need a late check-out. Sometimes it is possible. Depending on the upcoming guest’s arrival and the availability of the cleaning lady company.

The building

The loft is an old flour mill restored in the Silvers neighborhood of Poblenou, located between the streets Ciudad de Granada, Dr. Trueta, Roc Boronat and Passage Mas de Ronda, consisting of a grain mill, a tower manufacturing of flour, a fireplace and several accompanying ships dedicated to gain storgae.

The factory owner was Andrés Gil and Guardiola and the origins were about 1877, the year when it appears documented.

Rehabilitation began in the early 2006 and was completed at the end of 2009.

I lived in this loft for 3 years and I was very happy all those years. I really hope you will enjoy it the same way I did. The only thing I would request to you is to treat the apartment as if it was your own home, and please respect the house rules you will find printed in the island kitchen and the neighbourhood rest.

Points of interest

Discover Poblenou like a local! Below is a map highlighting my favorite spots in the area. Enjoy!

Favorite Restaurants

Here you'll find a few local recommendations near the loft apartment, in case you feel like going out for a lunch, for a dinner or for a quick drink:

Restaurants:

  • Racó de la Vila: The closest to the loft. Excellent and very Spanish. Good meat and fish. Check it here.
  • "El 58" is an inexpensive and very nice and tapas restaurant too. I'd go there for dinner tonight if I were you... Check it here.
  • Pizzeria Madre Lievito just around the corner, it's a really great neapolitan restaurant. The best pizza in town. Check it here.
  • Xiringuito Escribà: Don't leave without having a paella a right in front of the sea, but make a reservation. The paella there is just great, and having it in front of the sea is a luxury. A must, if you ask me... Check it here.

Breakfast / Coffee:

  • Santa Gloria: If you want to buy good bread ( and nice coffee and pastries). Check here for more info.
  • Repúblic Cafè: for good breakfasts (nice bagels, good juices and perfect for brunch). Check here for more info.
  • Can Dendé: Another cool place, very close one and one of my favourites for breakfast and brunch. Check here more info.
In "Rambla del Poblenou" is full of shops, groceries, terraces... there you will find supermarkets like Sorli Discau (C/Doctor Trueta 223).

By the way, this neighbourhood is totally safe, you can walk alone at any time in the night and nothing's gonna happen to you!

We are at your disposal for any recommendation or help. Enjoy your stay!
